For a contribution of just £1.60 per week you gain a number of benefits.
LEGAL AID COVER
This side of the fund is for members being summoned by a Court of Law, for driving without due care and attention, dangerous or careless driving as well as jumping a red light. The fund will also pay for driver improvement courses. The fund has a personal solicitor, who is in contact with the Fund secretary on a regular basis.
SPECTACLE AND DENTAL GRANTS
Once one contribution has been made you are able to claim for spectacle and contact lenses, dental treatment and dentures. Each grant at present is £50.
CHRISTMAS GRANTS
Any member that is off sick from October 15th to December 14th inclusive, the sum granted for Christmas 1998 was £250 to each qualifying member.
ILLNESS GRANTS
Financial assistance
for Members off sick. Amounts payable vary, and are at the discretion of th
central committee.
DEATH BENEFIT
Member/wife/partner is covered by a £500 death benefit.
